Our client is a leading management and technology consulting firm helping organisations build resilient, secure, and future-ready businesses. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Cyber Security to lead complex client engagements, develop high-performing teams, and support the continued expansion of their Cyber Security practice.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded cyber security professional who combines deep technical understanding with strong consulting, client relationship, and business development skills.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for delivering strategic cyber security programmes to some of the UK's largest organisations across financial services, government, defence, energy, retail, healthcare, and critical national infrastructure.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, advise executive stakeholders, shape client strategies, and contribute to the growth of the consulting practice through business development and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery

  • Lead complex cyber security consulting engagements from inception through delivery.
  • Develop cyber security strategies aligned to organisational objectives.
  • Advise C-suite executives and Boards on cyber risk and resilience.
  • Deliver enterprise cyber transformation programmes.
  • Conduct cyber maturity and capability assessments.
  • Lead cyber governance and operating model design.
  • Support regulatory and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide strategic oversight across technical and advisory workstreams.
  • Ensure high-quality project delivery within budget and agreed timelines.

Leadership

  • Lead and mentor consulting teams across multiple engagements.
  • Develop future consulting leaders through coaching and performance management.
  • Build collaborative relationships across wider consulting practices.
  • Drive a high-performance culture focused on quality and client satisfaction.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability development.

Business Development

  • Develop trusted relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and account growth.
  • Lead proposal development and client presentations.
  • Contribute to bids, RFPs, and framework submissions.
  • Build a pipeline of new consulting opportunities.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and networking events.

Practice Development

  • Develop new consulting offerings and methodologies.
  • Create thought leadership, white papers, and market insights.
  • Support internal innovation initiatives.
  • Contribute to practice strategy and growth planning.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging cyber threats and technologies.

Essential Experience

  • 8–12+ years of cyber security experience, with a significant portion in consulting or professional services.
  • Experience leading large-scale cyber transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise cyber security frameworks.
  • Experience managing complex client relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead consulting teams.
  • Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business development capability.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and Boards.

  • Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
