Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to drive new incident response business growth, develop strategic partnerships, and expand our market presence. 

This role is responsible for identifying opportunities, building high-value client relationships, and leading sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

New Business & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with company goals across cyber
  • Identify and win new clients through outbound prospecting, networking, and referrals in incident response
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycle: discovery → proposal → negotiation → close
  • Build a strong, predictable pipeline and report forecasted revenue

Client Relationship & Account Growth

  • Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (C-suite / Directors / Heads of Department)
  • Expand existing accounts by identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Ensure excellent client experience from initial engagement through delivery

Strategic Partnerships

  • Identify and secure partnerships that increase lead flow and brand credibility
  • Build alliances with relevant vendors, consultants, industry bodies, and influencers

Market & Commercial Leadership

  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and client needs
  • Work closely with marketing to improve positioning, messaging, and campaigns
  • Contribute to pricing strategy, service design, and go-to-market initiatives

Reporting & Performance

  • Meet/exceed agreed revenue and activity KPIs
  • Maintain CRM accuracy (pipeline, notes, forecasting, next steps)
  • Produce regular commercial reports for leadership team

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven success in a senior business development / sales leadership role
  • Track record of winning new business and managing large accounts
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Confident presenting and influencing at board/C-suite level
  • Able to work independently and drive strategy (not just execution)
  • Experience using CRM systems

Desirable (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in incident response
  • Existing network in Corporates
  • Experience selling retained / enterprise / long-cycle solutions
  • Familiarity with performance marketing + lead generation strategies
